JAMB Minimum Admission Cut-off Mark for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, and heads of tertiary education institutions in the country during the 2025 policy meeting have pegged the minimum cut-off mark for admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The minimum cut-off mark for Universities is 150 while that of Polytechnics is 100. Colleges of Education is 100 while College of Nursing Sciences is 140.

However, the institutions are at liberty to decide individual cut-off marks, but no institution will be allowed to admit any candidate who scores below the stipulated benchmark.

The Board has directed that admission to tertiary institutions should not be given to candidates under 18 years old for next year 2025/2026 academic session.

The board resolved that heads of tertiary institutions are allowed to admit candidates who are 16 years of age and candidates who would be 16 years as at 31st August 2025 to gain admission into tertiary institutions of their choice for the 2025/2026 academic session.

With the announcement of the cut-off marks, Public tertiary institutions will begin announcing their Post-UTME sales forms and screening dates. Candidates are to be on the lookout for such announcements.
